Open Ontologies and Open Knowledge Bases for Modeling the Social Layer of the Semantic Web

چکیده
We propose Open Ontologies and Open Knowledge Bases as means for the acquisition, evolution and representation of socially (but not necessarily cooperatively) generated semantically heterogeneous knowledge for open environments like the Semantic Web. In contrast to traditional approaches to knowledge assembling, knowledge sharing and ontology integration, which emphasize semantical consistency and the consensus finding among the participants, Open Ontologies and Open Knowledge Bases derive knowledge from possibly inconsistent, indefinite or conflictive communication processes. They explicitly model semantical heterogeneity arising from source conflicts in multiple levels of complexity reduction, and allow the probabilistic weighting of inconsistent knowledge. 1 The Need for Modeling Social Knowledge

Presenting a method for extracting structured domain-dependent information from Farsi Web pages
Extracting structured information about entities from web texts is an important task in web mining, natural language processing, and information extraction. Information extraction is useful in many applications including search engines, question-answering systems, recommender systems, machine translation, etc. An information extraction system aims to identify the entities from the text and extr...
متن کاملTowards Modeling the Social Layer of Emergent Knowledge Using Open Ontologies
In the context of open environments like Open Multiagent and Peer2Peer Systems, the Semantic Web and Communities of Practice, knowledge-based applications with self-interested, autonomous knowledge sources like information agents and humans have gained increased interest in recent times. For such environments, neither the consistency nor the reliability or the definiteness of the input knowledg...
متن کاملSocial Annotation of Semantically Heterogeneous Knowledge
An important kind of tacit knowledge in the context of the Semantic Web are the social communication structures among heterogeneous knowledge sources and users. Communication structures heavily influence the way knowledge is generated and used, because in a context of distributed and autonomous information sources like in the Semantic Web, knowledge is constituted and adapted pragmatically thro...
متن کاملCentralized Clustering Method To Increase Accuracy In Ontology Matching Systems
Ontology is the main infrastructure of the Semantic Web which provides facilities for integration, searching and sharing of information on the web. Development of ontologies as the basis of semantic web and their heterogeneities have led to the existence of ontology matching. By emerging large-scale ontologies in real domain, the ontology matching systems faced with some problem like memory con...
متن کاملOpen Ontologies - The Need for Modeling Heterogeneous Knowledge
In the context of open environments like the Semantic Web, knowledge-based applications with autonomous knowledge sources have recently gained increased interest. For such sources, neither the consistency nor the reliability or the definiteness of the input knowledge can be ensured. Whereas there already exist promising approaches to the filtering, integration and homogenization of inconsistent...
